Session 2 Recap: Kyle Public Library Adult Game
In the earth, deep below the Vitta caravan route, a group of travelers woke from a dreadful fall. Their bodies were sore and bruised; they were confused and in the dark. Around them, the remnants of a wagon and its drivers spread over the stone floor of a long, narrow cavern. Hyacinthe and Fluorite did not survive the fall, nor did two of their Vitta comrades whose names were unknown. Their trinkets and curios covered the cavern floor, along with their treasured spices.
The travelers discovered Dwarven script haphazardly etched into the wall of an alcove. The writing read, “Right. Right. Left.” Following these directions somewhat clumsily, the group discovered the shambling forms of two immense skeletons; minotaurs when they lived long ago. The horned dead were defeated but not without cost. Blood was spilled. With few resources, the group could ill afford more such fights if they wished to make it back to the surface alive.
Notes from a journal: “The mad beasts took their axes to us as if we were logs for the fire, but we ended them eventually. I don’t know what the others saw, but their blades seemed to do little against the iron-strong bones of the dead. My maul saw them gone, though. Something to keep in mind, should there be more of their ilk skulking about in the dark. I don’t like the way sound travels down here. I feel surrounded.”
